Quaker House also offers rentals during the “shoulder season”
— the weeks immediately before or after the summer season.
We offer space for small groups and family/friend gatherings.
Preference given to Quaker groups and committees.

The hospitality offered at Quaker House is at the core of the spiritual and social practices that we cherish. Providing a warm and welcoming environment to all who cross our threshold is a driving force for all who work to sustain the energy of this gathering space. Community Building is an equally important facet of Quaker House. It is our expectation that part of the reason for a guest choosing Quaker House for accommodations is because they intend to be an active member of the house during their stay as they are also being an active participant at Chautauqua. This active engagement includes attending Common Meal, some of our weekly events at QH and engaging with other guests in a manner that is kind, welcoming and respectful thus fostering a sense of community.
We seek to provide accommodations for guests interested in the same goals of creating an open, positive, and welcoming environment. By choosing to take part in this community guests are expected to comply with our guidelines. In the unlikely event that a guest proves unwilling to comply with QH guidelines they may be asked to leave without a refund.”
- Rooms are rented by the week during Chautauqua Institution’s summer season.
- Gate passes and parking passes are not included with your rental and must be purchased from the Institution. Early bird rates for gate passes will be available. We will notify you once the early bird dates are shared by the Institution.
- Quaker House has four bedrooms to rent: one is suitable for a family w/ children.
- There is WiFi access and A/C in each room.
- Guests share our communal kitchen with assigned pantry and refrigerator spaces and communal living spaces.
- Each floor has a full shared bathroom.
- Quaker House has both first and second floor porches with seating and a lovely flagstone patio in the back.
- Quaker House has stairs only – NO ELEVATOR – guests need to be able to transport their own luggage – please pack accordingly

- Weekly rentals begin with checkin on Saturday at 4:00 pm until the following Saturday at 10:00 am
- Each room rents for $476 per week
- NOTE: Please select your dates from Saturday – Friday on the calendar below your room choice when making your reservation. You will check out the following Saturday morning.
