The Chautauqua Institution provides a rich tapestry of opportunities for experiencing ideas, rest and renewal, exploring new horizons nearly every waking hour of every day. QHC offers an opportunity to reflect on this experience among a smaller group of new or old friends, engaging with a scheduled once-weekly brown bag lunch program designed to explore the Chautauqua theme of the week through a Quaker lens.  A less formal program is created by the easy access to our small Friends Library, our resident guests and the presence of the Friend in Residence, making it possible to share unscheduled and more intimate conversations that grow out of a concern or event that may arise. Porches, patio, living room or kitchen table become the place where it can happen.
