Welcome to Quaker House

Guidelines 2025

“The hospitality offered at Quaker House is at the core of the spiritual and social practices that we cherish. Providing a warm and welcoming environment to all who cross our threshold is a driving force for all who work to sustain the energy of this gathering space. Community Building is an equally important facet of Quaker House. It is our expectation that part of the reason for a guest choosing Quaker House for accommodations is because they intend to be an active member of the house during their stay as they are also being active participants at Chautauqua. This active engagement includes attending Common Meal, some weekly events at QH and engaging with other guests in a manner that is kind, welcoming and respectful, fostering a sense of community.

We seek to provide accommodations for guests interested in the same goals of creating an open, positive, and welcoming environment. By choosing to take part in this community guests are expected to comply with our guidelines. In the unlikely event that a guest proves unwilling to comply with QH guidelines they may be asked to leave without a refund.”

We look forward to your visit!
